What are they offering?

Brings together all the extra-curricular activities you can get involved with you help you boost your skills and confidence. It includes a range of online resources to help you make the most of your time during lockdown.

How do I use?

You can access through the student homepage > Get Involved or through ehu.ac.uk/advantage.  Login using your university email address and password

What are they offering?

Some publishers have made extra content available to assist with teaching and learning at this time. Learning Services have compiled a list of these extra resources and how to access them.

LinkedIn Learning

What are they offering?

Online courses (videos) to teach you a variety of skills.

How do I use?

Edge Hill University pays for a subscription for all students to make use of the range courses on LinkedIn Learning. Just access linkedin.com/learning/ and login using your university login.

Future Learn

What are they offering?

Online courses to help you to continue studying and build professional skills

How do I use?

Just access futurelearn.com and browse courses.

Open Learn

What are they offering?

Free Online courses. For some courses, a free statement of participation or digital badge is available.

How do I use?

Browse courses on open.edu, then create a free account to enrol and complete the course for a free statement of participation or digital badge if available.

University of Oxford

What are they offering?

A range of podcasts. Most are public lecture series or lectures from visiting professors, with several different recordings available.

The advantage to this particular site is that podcasts are organised into series, making it easy to subscribe to multiple lectures on one topic.

How do I use?

Access podcasts.ox.ac.uk and simply browse for podcasts that interest you. No need to sign up or download anything.

BBC

What are they offering?

For the more casual learner, the BBC offers a wide variety of podcasts on many different topics. Most podcasts are updated weekly, and focus on everything from finance, to sports, to current events. Through the World Service line of podcasts, there are also many in different languages. The focus of these podcasts are less in-depth and theory based, which may be more accessible to the average person.

Free online courses to help build life skills. There is a range of short courses on there from Managing your Money to Promoting Your Business.
