This is the third event in the research project titled, “Understanding, Evaluating, and Improving Good Governance in the Employment Relations of Athletes in Olympic Sports in Europe (EMPLOYS)”. The European Commission-funded EMPLOYs Project is gathering information about the employment circumstances of Olympic athletes in European Union countries, Norway, and the United Kingdom, with the aim of sharing evidence-based information, practices, and recommendations to improve good governance practices in athlete relations in Olympic sports.
The project is led by Prof. Jurgen Mittag of the German Sports University in Cologne, Germany and includes Edge Hill University as project partner. This Open Forum event will build on two similar events held in Cologne in September 2021 and Lisbon in December 2021, and stakeholders from the Olympic movement will share their views on good governance in this important area of sport.
This event is open to all.
