Entry requirements

Specific entry requirements may differ for each programme, but the information below provides general requirements and some guidance. More information on specific courses can be found on our Study pages. Each application is assessed on its own merit.

International Foundation Programmes

Students whose qualifications do not meet our general entrance or course requirements may need to take an International Foundation Programme to qualify for entry to an undergraduate degree programme.

Undergraduate Programmes

Applicants should have at least National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 (60 credits at L3 and 20 at L2 with a score of Merit or Excellent in subjects relevant to the desired course of study).

International Baccalaureate

We are happy to accept students who have completed the IB qualification. We will use UCAS Tariff scores to assess a student’s suitability. Subject-specific requirements at Higher Level (HL) Grade 5 may apply. For clarity of entry requirements for the course you’re interested in, please contact the International Office.

Postgraduate Programmes

Applicants who have a 4 year Bachelors Honours degree from a recognised university at 2:2 equivalent, will be considered for entry onto Postgraduate Programmes.
