Specific entry requirements may differ for each programme, but the information below provides general requirements and some guidance. More information on specific courses can be found in the course catalogue. Each application is assessed on its own merit.

Undergraduate programmes

AlbertaGeneral High School Diploma – 65% in five grade 12 subjects.
British ColumbiaSenior Secondary Graduation Diploma – five grade Bs in grade 12 subjects.
ManitobaHigh School Graduation Diploma – five credits at the 300 level in at least four subject areas, and at least 65% in each subject.
New BrunswickHigh School Graduation Diploma – 65% in five acceptable subjects.
NewfoundlandHigh School Graduation Diploma – 65% in five subjects at university preparation level grade 12.
Nova ScotiaHigh School Completion Certificate – 65% in five subjects at level four or five.
OntarioGrade 12 Secondary School Diploma at advanced level, with 6 grade 12 U, U/C or M courses including grade 12 U English. BBBBBB (6 at 70%).
Prince Edward IslandHigh School Graduation Diploma with at least 65% in five subjects.
QuebecDiplôme d’Etudes Collègiales (DEC) at grades 65% and above. English Language requirements may apply.
SaskatchewanCompletion grade 12 Standing/ Division IV Standing (Secondary School Diploma) – 65% grade average in five subjects.
North West TerritoriesGeneral High School Diploma – 65% in five subjects at grade 12.
NunavutSecondary School Certificate/ Diploma – 65% in five acceptable subjects at grade 12.
Yukon TerritorySenior Secondary School Graduation Diploma – Bs in five grade 12 subjects.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

We are happy to accept students who have completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) qualification. We will use UCAS Tariff scores to assess a student’s suitability. Subject specific requirements at Higher Level (HL) Grade 5 may apply. For clarity of entry requirements for the course you’re interested in, please contact the International Office.

Postgraduate programmes

You must have graduated from a recognised Canadian university and have successfully completed at least four years of study. The exact grade requirement will depend upon the grading system used in your first degree.

For example we may ask for:

  • Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0/ 4.0
  • GPA of 7 out of 9 (where the course requires a 2:1)
  • GPA of 5 out of 9 (where the course requires a 2:2)
  • a minimum GPA of 7 out of 12
  • a minimum GPA of 8 out of 13
  • a minimum Grade B
  • a minimum grade average of 70%
