Specific entry requirements may differ for each programme, but the information below provides general requirements and some guidance. More information on specific courses can be found in the course catalogue. Each application is assessed on its own merit.
International Foundation Programme
Students whose qualifications do not meet our general entrance or course requirements may need to take an International Foundation Programme to qualify for entry to an undergraduate degree programme.
|Alberta||General High School Diploma – 65% in 5 grade 12 subjects|
|British Columbia||Senior Secondary Graduation Diploma – 5 grade Bs in grade 12 subjects.|
|Manitoba||High School Graduation Diploma – 5 credits at the 300 level in at least 4 subject areas; and at least 65% in each subject.|
|New Brunswick||High School Graduation Diploma – 65% in 5 acceptable subjects.|
|Newfoundland||High School Graduation Diploma – 65% in 5 subjects at university preparation level grade 12.|
|Nova Scotia||High School Completion Certificate – 65% in 5 subjects at level four or five.|
|Ontario||Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma at advanced level, with 6 grade 12 U, U/C or M courses including grade 12 U English. BBBBBB (6 at 70%).|
|Prince Edward Island||High School Graduation Diploma with at least 65% in 5 subjects.|
|Quebec||Diplôme d’Etudes Collègiales (DEC) at grades 65% and above. English Language requirements may apply.|
|Saskatchewan||Completion grade 12 Standing/Division IV Standing (Secondary School Diploma) – 65% grade average in 5 subjects.|
|North West Territories||General High School Diploma – 65% in 5 subjects at grade 12.|
|Nunavut||Secondary School Certificate/Diploma – 65% in 5 acceptable subjects at grade 12.|
|Yukon Territory||Senior Secondary School Graduation Diploma – Bs in 5 grade 12 subjects.|
We are happy to accept students who have completed the IB qualification. We will use UCAS Tariff scores to assess a student’s suitability. Subject-specific requirements at Higher Level (HL) Grade 5 may apply. For clarity of entry requirements for the course you’re interested in, please contact the International Office.
You must have graduated from a recognised Canadian university and have successfully completed at least four years of study. The exact grade requirement will depend upon the grading system used in your first degree.
For example we may ask for:
- GPA of 3.0/4.0
- GPA of 7 out of 9 (where the course requires a 2:1)
- GPA of 5 out of 9 (where the course requires a 2:2)
- A minimum GPA of 7 out of 12
- A minimum GPA of 8 out of 13
- A minimum Grade B
- A minimum grade average of 70%
