At EcoEdge, we deliver high-quality environmental consultancy services, combining ecological and environmental expertise with cutting-edge technology to support sustainable decision-making. Our core goal is to become one of the most trusted environmental service providers in the North of England. Collaborating with local and national government bodies, environmental consultancies, charities, and water companies, we will provide tailored solutions that enhance environmental assessments, conservation efforts, and land management strategies.
Meet the team
We are the EcoEdge team. We each bring expertise in our respective fields, supported by the wider Bioscience and Geoscience team at Edge Hill University. We combine knowledge in plant sciences, GIS, earth observation, and natural flood management to deliver trusted, data-driven insights that support your environmental goals.
A science-driven response to ecological decline

The accelerating loss of biodiversity demands urgent, expert attention. At Edge Hill’s EcoEdge, we will provide the scientific insight and strategic guidance needed to tackle today’s most pressing ecological threats.
Many of the UK’s waterbodies and catchments are failing to meet an ecological ‘good status’. This requires solutions from a multidisciplinary team that considers wider holistic management. This collaborative approach will help reduce pollution, water treatment costs, and flood risk, improving biodiversity overall. Further, it will help catchments meet the government’s 25 environmental year plan.
By translating science into action, we aim to help governments, industries, and communities make better decisions that protect ecosystems and secure a sustainable future.
