23 October 2019
Creative Edge Building
ICE aims to serve as the gateway for researchers within EHU to collaborate with external partners across the cultural industries and the creative and digital economy in the north west, nationally, and internationally. Through a relationship with ICE, cultural organisations can leverage the resources of the University to address their own research questions. Through working with external partners, ICE can facilitate pathways to impact for the research carried out at Edgehill.
ICE also has specific remits in relation to practice-based research in the creative arts, and policy research in media and the cultural industries. ICE retains a remit for the theoretical and critical investigation of cultural forms.
ICE works collaboratively with other research centres and institutes across EHU to develop research and knowledge exchange activity in areas of shared interest, including co-curating the University’s Festival of Ideas.
ICE partners include: Tate Liverpool, FACT, Everyman-Playhouse, Bluecoat Liverpool, Everyman Cinema, National Museums of Liverpool, Sound City, Writing on the Wall, UNESCO, and many others.
