PGMI Professor Vicky Karkou, Head of the Arts for Wellbeing Research Group, recently presented as a keynote speaker in Latvia, as part of a ten year anniversary for art therapies education.

The event took place 10 – 12 November 2016 through an international scientific and practical conference titled Riga Stadins University.  Professor Karkou also facilitated a workshop masterclass, and was awarded a certificate of gratitude for her contribution to the field.

Professor Karkou travelled to Riga from Vilnius, Lithuania, where she was an invited speaker and workshop facilitator for the first conference in dance movement psychotherapy in the country under the support of the University of Vilnius, Faculty of Medicine and the Academy of Music and Dance.
