Covid-19 - Course Impact Statement

This module aligns to the 4 pillars to meet the research requirements of the HEE Multi-professional framework for advanced clinical practice in England (2017). Each learning outcome reflects an element of the 4 pillars of advanced practice and provides the students with an opportunity to move forward with recommendations for changes in practice that will enhance quality, productivity, safety and are disseminatable directly into the practice area.

In this module you engage with research inquiry in an in-depth way. The module enables you to undertake a comprehensive study to address one of the following areas:
a. Critical deconstruction and analysis of a policy or guideline.
b. Conduct a systematic review of the literature in relation to a chosen topic.
c. Conduct a change in practice project or demonstration of clinical audit.

In each case you will have to utilise an appropriate theoretical model to frame their work, the evidence that underpins your discussion and make recommendations for, or evidence change in practice based on your discussion. You will critically analyse the evidence related to the approach and topic chosen, which is negotiated with your supervisor whilst.adhering to ethical guidelines if undertaking change/audit in practice.

What are the key aims of the programme?

To meet the research requirements of the HEE Multi-professional framework for advanced clinical practice in England (2017).

How Will I Study?

This module is normally studied over four sessions. The module overall takes 35 weeks.

What will I study?

  • An introduction to relevant appropriate theoretical models applicable to the inquiry chosen.
  • How to undertake research inquiry, how to scope literature and evidence, and policy analysis and development.

How will I be assessed?

Assignment/project 100 Volume 8,000 words.
