Paola Dey

Paola Dey trained in public health medicine in the North West of England during which time she was seconded to the Centre for Cancer Epidemiology at the University of Manchester for six months. She left there 11 years later having decided to pursue an academic career. While at the Centre she established the Prevention Trials Unit and become Deputy Director.  As Professor of Public Health Epidemiology at the University of Central Lancashire, she established the Applied Public Health and Epidemiology Research Group and UCLAN Cancer Studies Centre and helped set up the Lancashire Clinical Trials Unit.  She was appointed to Professor of Health and Social Care at Edge Hill University in September 2016,
