Find out more about the moving in process for students living in on-campus Halls.
Students who have received a place in our halls of residence should move into accommodation on the following date:
- BSc (Hons) Nursing and MSc Nursing students – Friday 29 March.
When you arrive on campus, you should complete your enrolment and make your way to Hub 2 in the Main Building to collect your keys and move into your hall. You will be sent details of how to book a move-in slot closer to the time.
If you are unable to arrive on this day, please contact the Accommodation Team on CatalystEnquiries@edgehill.ac.uk for advice.
If you are studying Operating Department Practice, your move in date will be Sunday 28 April. The Accommodation Team will contact you nearer the time about moving in arrangements.
Travelling to Edge Hill
Arriving by Public Transport
You can find out more about arriving at Edge Hill by public transport on our website. Ormskirk is served by several train and bus routes and the Edge Link bus runs from Ormskirk bus station to the University from 8.05am to 9.25pm.
Arriving by Car
You may bring one car onto campus (no vans please). Please be aware that parking on campus is very limited and spaces cannot be guaranteed. For information about how to find us visit our website.
For students moving in on Friday 29 March, a moving-in-day parking notice is available to download here. ODP students moving in on Sunday 28 April will not need a moving-in parking permit.

Hall Welcome Talks
Once you have settled in and said goodbye to your friends and family, you must attend your compulsory Halls Welcome Talk at 3pm in M39 (Main Building, Room 39). This will give you an introduction to your new home, campus facilities and the rules and regulations for students living on campus.

Is there a halls group I can join on social media?
If you are moving into halls, you can join our Facebook group.
In this halls group, you will receive important information from the Accommodation Team, as well as updates on any on campus events and support you can access whilst at University.
What should I do if there is a problem with my room?
If there a problem with your room our Facilities Management (FM) team will be happy to help. You can contact the FM Helpdesk on 01695 584455 or visit them in the Durning Centre. Alternatively, please follow the links to MyFM on the Students Homepage, or visit MyFM directly at ehu.ac.uk/myfm.
MyFM is the online Facilities Management service for reporting and tracking your job requests, and you can also complete your room inventory to confirm the condition of your room.
Can I bring my car with me to campus during term-time?
Students living in halls of residence are not permitted to keep a car on campus. If you need a car to travel to your placement, you can apply online at MyFM by visiting ehu.ac.uk/myfm and indicating your circumstances. You will receive an email following completion of your application and you will need to ask your course tutor to confirm your placement by following the link provided in the email.
