Final year checklist

As you have almost finished your course with us, here’s some essential information that we hope you’ll find useful as you prepare to take your next step:

Return Library Loans

Please return any library books, laptops and media equipment out on loan as you finish your degree. This means we can keep our library fully stocked in the future. Pop into the Catalyst during opening hours (available here) to drop off your items. If you need to return any books by post, please contact [email protected] or 01695 650800.

Download everything you need from our IT systems

Your email account will no longer be active within 120 days of your course ending. Make copies of any important documents saved on your OneDrive or Learning Edge account. Guidance is available on the ehu.ac.uk/leaving webpage.

Update your email account

When your university account closes you won’t have access to your emails. Remember to update any online accounts where you have used to Edge Hill email address for registration/identification.

Make sure you update your contacts about the use of your personal email address. This is especially important if you have applied for jobs or opportunities.

Check your personal details to receive your certificate

Your watermarked certificate will be delivered to your permanent home address within three months of you successfully completing your programme. Please make sure you check we have the correct contact details for you. If you need proof of your results/award before you receive your certificate, you can download an online transcript (PDF format) here.

Consider Postgraduate study

We offer a wide range of taught postgraduate, research and PGCE programmes. As an EHU graduate, you may qualify for a fee discount on our Masters degrees. Up to £27,000 in Department for Education bursaries is also available on selected Secondary PGCE programmes. Further information and a full list of courses are available here.

Join our Alumni networks

Once you graduate, you will become Edge Hill alumni. Find out about the perks of being part of our wonderful alumni community and join our alumni networks. This includes events and reunions, alumni newsletters, networking opportunities and ongoing library access. Take a look at our Alumni pages, follow Edge Hill Alumni Facebook and sign up to Edge Hill Connect for further details.

Access our Careers resources

The Careers Team are here to support you now and for three years from your graduation date. Access support finding your perfect graduate job through the careers page. The website is packed with helpful information to get you started.

Remember to log on to the website and update your details to your personal email address. This way we can stay in touch with you after you graduate.
