As part of this year’s Festival of Ideas, ICE is delighted to welcome to campus, Liverpool born actor and TV star, Joe McGann.
Throughout Joe’s acting career, he has performed on stage in productions such as Fiddler on the Roof and Lost Monsters. No stranger to appearing on our TV screens over the last couple of decades, Joe has recently joined the cast of Hollyoaks as the father of one of the show’s longest-standing members.
Joe will be joined on the sofa by ICE Director, Professor Martin McQuillan, as they discuss Joe’s career as an actor, the paths that his career has taken and how it was growing up in a family of TV stars.
This event will take place in The Rose Theatre at Edge Hill University’s Ormskirk Campus.
This is a FREE event, open to the public (registration is essential) – there will be an opportunity for audience Q&A.
This event is part of Edge Hill University’s annual Festival of Ideas. Programmed by the University’s three Research Institutes, ISR, ICE and HRI, this year the festival will explore the theme of Exchanges: Creativity, Community, Curiosity.
The exchange of ideas is the fuel of the knowledge and creative economy. Locally, nationally and internationally we are all involved in sharing concepts, swapping insights, and trading opinions. This year’s festival explores communication, reciprocity, and transactions in all areas, from policy making to healthcare, social enterprise to cultural production. Be the exchange you want to see.
