Staff and Students are invited to attend the book launch, Emergency Services Management: A research Overview. The book is a timely intervention to understand the key challenges and opportunities facing emergency services in dealing with the current crisis.

In this short book, Prof. Paresh Wankhade and Prof. Peter Murphy expertly handle contemporary issues relating to professionalisation, leadership and culture, interoperability and offer a framework to bridge the theory-practice divide to improve our understanding of these services. Salman Desai KAM, Deputy Chief Executive at North West Ambulance Service; Deputy Chief Constable Ian Critchley QPM at Merseyside Police and Steve McGuirk, Former Chief Fire Officer at Greater Manchester FRS and current Chair. Warrington Hospital will be gracing the occasion along with representatives from the emergency services.
