Description: This session explores ways to understand inclusive education as a broad concept, consider how it is operationalised in various examples and enable practitioners to develop plans for developing their own workshops for exploring challenging topics with their pupils. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. We will consider the benefits of utilising visual materials to discuss young people’s educational experiences.
  2. We will discuss the concept and practice of inclusion in relation to real world case study examples produced by children.
  3. We will develop ideas to enable attendees to create their own visual resource ‘toolboxes’ for use in their settings.
