These live evening sessions for students will run every Wednesday in June, focusing on relevant topics each month in line with the research and application timeline.
Topic: Introduction to Higher Education
Date: Wednesday 23 June
This session will examine the benefits of progressing onto Higher Education (HE), discuss the pros and cons of moving away or living at home for university, provide advise on how to choose a university and course that’s best for you, and explore the support and additional opportunities available at university.
Topic: Introduction to UCAS and Personal Statements
Date: Wednesday 30 June
This session will examine the different stages of the UCAS timeline, including how to conduct your own research into universities and courses, how to apply to university through the UCAS system, dates and deadlines, and what to expect once you have applied through UCAS. We will also provide information about what to include in your personal statement and some top tips for how to make your personal statement stand out.
All sessions will run through Blackboard Collaborate.
