The day is for PGCE trainees, alumni and potential candidates to listen to external speakers share their knowledge, experiences and expertise on the Post-compulsory sector.
The morning session 9-12 will be talks and discussions of key issues in FE and Q&A from the audience will be welcomed.
Drop in session for CV checks will be held from 1-3 pm as well as Mock Interview panels which are held also from 1-3 pm in the building.
During lunch time attendees can meet leading agencies and mingle with speakers and PGCE tutors and current trainees on the programme. Refreshments will be served.

Every year, at Edge Hill University, as part of the PGCE Further Education and Training programme we, hold an Employability day to give trainee teachers the opportunity to listen to external guests talk about the sector and to get tips about employment.
Themes covered are; Contemporary Issues in Further Education, Mental Health, Teaching & Learning, Assessment; How to Engage the Disengaged; Communities & Adult Learners
Drop-ins and subject specific workshops covering a variety of subjects including English, Psychology, Floristry, Business, Sociology, Media, Film, Maths, and Biology
