Imagining Palestine

Following the recent publication of Gazan author Nayrouz Qarmout’s The Sea Cloak, Comma Press co-host an evening of readings and reflections on Palestine, with two contributors to its follow-up project Palestine + 100 – an experiment in using science fiction and futurism as a device for exploring the present, and historic grievances, in particular the ‘Nakba’ (or ‘catastrophe’) of 1948. Featuring Ra Page (Founder & Editorial Manager of Comma Press), the British Palestinian novelist Selma Dabbagh, and writer and director Ahmed Masoud, who grew up in Palestine and moved to the UK in 2002. Nayrouz Qarmout will be joining the conversation via Skype.
