This event has been postponed to The Arts Centre’s Autumn/Winter season later on this year.
Following the recent publication of Gazan author Nayrouz Qarmout’s The Sea Cloak, Comma Press co-host an evening of readings and reflections on Palestine, with two contributors to its follow-up project Palestine + 100 – an experiment in using science fiction and futurism as a device for exploring the present, and historic grievances, in particular the ‘Nakba’ (or ‘catastrophe’) of 1948. Featuring Ra Page (Founder & Editorial Manager of Comma Press), the British Palestinian novelist Selma Dabbagh, and writer and director Ahmed Masoud, who grew up in Palestine and moved to the UK in 2002.
