A poetry Reading, featuring Edge Hill University International Writer in Residence, Forrest Gander, with Rachael Allen and Robert Sheppard

This event brings together an exceptional trio of poets for the final poetry reading of the academic year, hosted by James Byrne (Senior Lecturer in Poetry).

Forrest Gander is a poet, fiction writer, translator and geologist. His book Core Samples from the World, published in 2011, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award. Other collections of poetry include Eye Against Eye (2005) and Torn Awake (2001). Gander’s latest titles include The Trace, a novel and Be With. He lives in California and is the Edge Hill University International Writer in Residence for 2019.
