Saturday 13th January 2018, 10am-3pm
This event provides a great opportunity for you and your family to visit our Oxford Street site and find out more about training to work as an operating department practitioner (ODP).
You can drop in to talk to tutors, chat to current students, attend subject presentations, and take a tour of the clinical skills simulation suite.
Our impressive facilities in Manchester include a mock operating theatre, simulated ambulance bay and clinical skills stations where you can engage in practical demonstrations during these events. You can also view the IT suite and library and discover everything you need to know about the student experience at St James’.
By joining our BSc (Hons) Operating Department Practice degree you will train to provide high standards of care during the anaesthetic, surgical and recovery phases of hospital patients’ treatment.
You can apply to study Operating Department Practice at the Edge Hill University campus or St James’. The course involves placements across Greater Manchester and the North West of England. We will endeavour, where possible, to place you in a Trust near to where you live.
