Vocal movement artist Elaine Mitchener leads a workshop with students from Edge Hill University and members of IMMIX Ensemble on the art of free improvisation and movement art practice.
Through interactive exercises students will explore different facets of free improvisation, learn new improvisational tools and rediscover their own instrument and natural physical capabilities. Using these tools they will then take on some of the research uncovered in Mitchener’s project SWEET TOOTH as a springboard to further musical exploration and development.
The performance is the culmination of a three-day workshop and takes place in the Arts Centre Red Bar.
