Edge Hill University has been successfully training the teachers of tomorrow for more than 125 years.

Our innovative, and often unique, initial teacher training programmes produce the highest quality professionals prepared for exciting and rewarding careers in Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Further Education.

The Faculty of Education also leads the way in the training and development of all members of the school workforce, offering a comprehensive professional development portfolio for teachers, and all those supporting teaching and learning, working in schools and educational settings.

If you’re interested in finding out more about the Faculty of Education’s programmes and facilities, our NCTL (National College for Teaching and Learning) event is the place for you. It’s a chance to visit the faculty’s £9 million Centre of Excellence and see some of the state-of-the-art facilities which include a 300-seat lecture theatre, well-equipped ICT suites and teaching rooms complete with the very latest technology.

The event is a great opportunity to listen to presentations about the variety of options open to you as well as entry requirements, fees and funding, the application process, professional skills tests and life as a teacher. You’ll also be able to receive individual advice and guidance about your qualifications, chat with current and newly qualified teachers, and obtain assistance with writing your Personal Statement and preparing for interview.
