Film: The Sense of An Ending (2017)

The Sense Of An Ending tells the story of Tony Webster, a retired man who, out of nowhere, is forced to confront the consequences of things he did long ago. One day, he learns that his old girlfriend’s mother has left a diary in her will – a diary that used to belong to Tony’s best friend. His quest to recover the diary leads him to revisit the memories of his youth, and he doesn’t necessarily remember how events actually turned out. A powerful drama based on the acclaimed novel starring Jim Broadbent and Charlotte Rampling.

“Jim Broadbent, Charlotte Rampling and Harriet Walter bring class to this restrained adaptation of Julian Barnes’s novel”  The Guardian 4 STARS
