Children, Young People, Their Care and Education: Critical issues in interdisciplinary research and practice
Ninth Annual Conference for Research in Education
The 2017 Annual Conference for Research in Education (ACRE) is to be held at Edge Hill University on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th July 2017. ACRE links with research undertaken through the University’s Institute for Public Policy and Professional Practice (I4P) which attracts national and international renowned speakers. I4P facilitates multidisciplinary research and knowledge exchange initiatives, is committed to exploring opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and co-operation, and synthesises the experiences of professionals, practitioners and researchers in order to inform new ways of working and learning.
This year’s conference aims to:
- Highlight interdisciplinary research and practice related to children, young people, their care and education
- Showcase the strengths of cross professional/multidisciplinary research in the education and care of young citizens
In response to questions such as these, this year’s conference theme offers scope for a broad interpretation and looks to generate papers that both explore the nature and scope of interdisciplinary research and practice related to children, young people, education and care. We seek to debate the wider issues related to interdisciplinary research within education. Thus, papers are invited on research that explores, and has generated debate linked to interdisciplinary research and practice related to education and care.
This is the ninth ACRE event to be held at Edge Hill University, bringing together researchers and educational professionals to debate educational research and its impact. The conference is designed to attract a wide variety of papers and perspectives on interdisciplinary research and practice related to education and care.
