- Die Mandeln – Peter Nelson
Die Mandeln (Almonds) is a “setting” of Paul Celan’s Zähle die Mandeln, delivered in the poet’s own voice.
Peter Nelson is Professor of Music and Technology at the University of Edinburgh. His compositional output includes orchestral, instrumental, vocal and electronic music.
- The Night Bride
The Night Bride (librettist – Mike Sizemore) is based on Molnár AnnaI, and portrays a kidnap from a traditional Hungarian wedding.
Stephen Kilpatrick is a composer and writer. He studied at the Universities of Salford and Manchester. His music has been performed across the world.
Anikó Toth has worked with a variety of collaborators. Her performances have been broadcast internationally.
Dr. Enrico Bertelli is a performance-based researcher with over ten years of international experience.
- Against the Grain – Stephen Davismoon
Against the grain is an immersive work for live electronics, employing innovative instrumental techniques and digital programming that punctuates the listening space.
Stephen Davismoon – composer and sound artist – is Head of Performing Arts and Chair of Contemporary Composition at Edge Hill University. He has written for a wide variety of media.
- Continuity and Contingency – Will Scrimshaw
Continuity and Contingency is an experiment with drone, rhythm and the live manipulation of code.
Will Schrimshaw is a Senior Lecturer in Music and Sound at Edge Hill University. His research interests include algorithmic composition
