A Christmas Carol

8th Dec 2016, 7:30pm - 9:10pm

The Arts Centre

Thursday 8th December 7.30pm
European Arts Company presents A Christmas Carol read by Mr Charles Dickens
Performed by John O’Connor. Directed by Peter Craze.

A Christmas Carol was the first public performance of his work that Charles Dickens gave and it was also his last. He performed it over 150 times and the effect on the public was phenomenal. “The success was most wonderful and prodigious – perfectly overwhelming and astounding altogether!”  he said after the first night.

This Christmas, you can experience what it must have been like to be in the audience! European Arts Company is faithfully recreating Dickens’ famous performance of his best-loved and most heart-warming story. Come and enjoy a seasonal treat in the spirit of Christmas past, present and future.

“I am as light as a feather, I am as happy as an angel, I am as merry as a school-boy. I am as giddy as a drunken man. A merry Christmas to everybody! A Happy New Year to all the world!”

Tickets £10 / £8 concs / £5 Edge Hill University Students and school parties of 10 or more
