Arts, Identity and Healing in the Context of the Refugee Crisis

Dr Nisha Sajnani

Dr Sajnani’s work with the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma, collaborates with first responders, physicians, social workers, and art therapists who work with refugees.  She asks them to take a photograph of what sustains them amidst the crisis, and to use video to document how they contribute to a healing environment.  Dr Sajnani will present examples of this, and explain how the arts are being used in the context of the refugee crisis.
