Perceptive Fragility is a choreographed dance piece investigating the synthesis of abstraction, restriction and fragile figuration, in which the porcelain costume is the ‘text’ to the piece. The choreographed piece will be presented as a short film sequence and live dance performance to subsequently inform an installation environment. The costumes are designed and created by Dawn Summerlin as part of her practice-led MA research project, programmed at Edge Hill University.
