Haunted and Haunting: A Night of Ghost Stories at the Rose

You are invited to compose your own short ghost story for a night of terrifying tales at the Rose. Any student can submit their story. Six stories will be chosen to be read by you on Friday 25th October at 7.30pm in the Rose Theatre at Edge Hill University. Tickets are £4.00

Deadline for submissions: Wednesday 9th October 2013

Rules:

  • 1000 words or less (or the equivalent of 10 minutes in length)
  • No vampires, werewolves or zombies. Ghosts only please.
  • You should submit three printed copies of your story, double-spaced, to Jenny Barrett in the Media Department by 9am on Wednesday 9th October 2013. All copies should be well-presented, with a covering sheet containing your name, the title of your story and your e-mail address. Do not put your name or contact details on your copies of the story. A panel of writers and tutors will make the selection and contact all successful authors by Wednesday 16th October.
  • The reading of the stories will take place on Friday 25th October at 7.30pm in the Rose Theatre in front of a public audience.
  • Both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students are welcome to submit stories.
