Comedy Sept with namesStand-up Comedy in the Rose Theatre with Duncan Oakley, Dave Williams, Meir Frank and Compere Lewis Charlesworth

£7.00 / £4.00 concessions
£2.00 Edge Hill Students

Headliner: Duncan Oakley
A world travelled comedian, musician, actor, one-man band, with musical skills that would easily fit into many rock bands. An eye and ear for the silly, rude, playful and downright irritating occurrences of life, Duncan musters up songs that don’t just make you laugh, they bury into the recesses of your mind and find you humming a tune with a smile on your face three days later, confused and wondering where it’s come from

Dave Williams
A full-time comedian since 1998, Dave is an Inspired, engaging, and amenable stand-up, regularly performing in the UK  and abroad – including a week as headline in the Sydney Comedy Store. Dave’s taken his own solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe and performed his updated cafe themed show, 24 hour Latte People at the Manchester Comedy Festival 2007.

“A fine, original comic mind…always surprising the audience with his wit.”
Manchester Evening News

Meir Frank
Wigan’s ‘successor’ to Peter Kay, Meir Frank has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival’s Gilded Balloon, winning five new act competitions early on and quickly establishing himself through word of mouth. Meir’s distinct worldview and honest philosophy is sharply applied to a host of social, media and personal issues.

Compere: Lewis Charlesworth
Lewis Charlesworth has established himself as one of the most upbeat, high energy, engaging and silly acts on the circuit. With his audience banter and cartoon like physicality, he is just as at home performing a set or working as a likeable compere. His routine consists of absurd tales about his everyday life and family background.

‘”We’ve used Lewis as an act on numerous occasions performing in front of 30 to 200 and he never fails to deliver.” Love Comedy
