Leadership in Social Work – Dr Neil Thompson Author, Educator and Adviser

One of a series of evening lectures on social work; the lectures are free of charge to attend and open to all interested in the areas of social work, social care and the social sciences.

Following a successful career in social work in which he established himself as a leading thinker in the field, Neil continues to play a major role in shaping social work theory and practice while also making a significant contribution to our understanding of human relations issues in the workplace, such as: equality and diversity; stress; conflict management; loss, grief and trauma; and related matters.

Neil has a wealth of experience in helping people deal with their problems and challenges across the ‘people professions’ – that is, members of the helping professions plus people involved in management, leadership and human resources.

He is a prolific writer and his texts are very popular with students of social work and other professions, and qualified practitioners alike.
