Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Edge Hill University’s Care and Compassion Conference 2013.

The conference will include national speakers and practical learning from frontline staff to help you to provide care with compassion in your hospital.

This conference is aimed at nurses, doctors, junior doctors, allied health professionals, students and managers involved in creating a caring environment for patients.

Guest Speakers

  • Jane Cummings, Chief Nursing Officer, NHS England: The Importance of the 6 C’s
  • Sir Stephen Moss, ex-Chairman, Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust: Learning from the mid Staffs experience
  • Professor Aidan Halligan, Director of Education, University College London Hospitals NHS Trust, will chair an expert panel house debate on care and compassion in hospitals
  • Motivational speaker Matt King OBE will share his inspirational story on his journey to recovery following a devastating rugby injury which left him paralysed from the neck down

Breakout sessions including creating a compassionate culture and staff engagement; behind the scenes of a CQC inspection, and the Patients Association’s Care Campaign.

The standard delegate fee is £75; if your organisation wishes to send three delegates, the fee is £150 for three delegate places.
