Liverpool’s Spike Theatre Company present Sink or Swim in the Rose Theatre. 18th century bedlam – an insanely comic tale about a ship of three fools making for America.
Tickets: £10 / £8 concessions / £5 Edge Hill students
“Two’s company… But three’s Bedlam!”
The 18th century bedlam houses are full and so the ‘ships of fools’ are born. En-route to America our hapless victims find themselves running for the lifeboats when they come under attack and their ship – The Sea Venture – is sunk. As the icy dawn breaks and with only a single oar, they find themselves alone, and going around in circles. Our brave souls battle the elements, each other and a leaking lifeboat. Based in fact and with a heavy dose of fiction ‘Sink or Swim’ is an insanely comic tale of tales and three men’s maddening struggle’s at sea.
