Giles Fraser presents The Chancellor’s Lecture at Edge Hill University on Friday 15th June 2012, with a talk entitled ‘Moral Leadership in Changing Times’.
Currently parish priest at St Mary’s Newington in London, Giles Fraser is best known as the former Canon Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral, where he fulfilled the role of a canon residentiary with special responsibility for contemporary ethics and engagement with the City of London as a financial centre. He resigned from his post in October 2011 following the Cathedral’s decision to take legal action to evict protestors from the anti-capitalist Occupy London movement who were camped outside the iconic London landmark.
Giles has held posts at St Mary’s Putney as Team Rector, at Wadham College, Oxford University as chaplain and lecturer in Philosophy and as the curate of All Saints in Streetly.
