Maelstrom Dance present Ballast at the Rose Theatre. A provocative morality tale of women beyond the realms of ‘normal female behaviour’
Tickets £9.00 / £7.00 concessions.
Maelstrom Dance is the North West’s newest dance company, whose work combines influences from contemporary, urban and physical theatre to create exciting and provoking performances. Established in 2008 by Artistic Director Lindsey Brocklebank, the all-female company has been making ripples in the North West dance scene ever since.
Maelstrom Dance’s new work Ballast, is a conceptual multidisciplinary dance theatre work; pitting two power and greed driven sisters against each other. A morality tale of women beyond the realms of ‘normal female behaviour’ who are observed and ‘tweeted’ by a modern day Greek chorus of seven newly graduated dancers.
