The Faculty of Education is holding an open evening on Wednesday 22nd June 2011 where you can find out more about the Future Teachers Programme.
A Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP), the Future Teachers Programme is delivered in school by a cluster of Edge Hill partner schools working together. All aspects of the course are taught by school and university trainers, providing strong links between theory and practice.
If you’re a recent graduate or looking for a career change into teaching, with excellent subject knowledge in physics, chemistry or mathematics and a real interest in working with young people, the Future Teachers Programme could be for you.
We are looking for applicants who will become Associate Teachers. The programme will immerse you in school life as you train to become a leader of learning and an outstanding teacher of physics, chemistry or mathematics. There will be a strong emphasis on leadership and school improvement throughout the programme. Successful completion leads to recommendation for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
The open evening is an opportunity to ask any questions about the course, meet the programme team, complete an application form and/or arrange an interview.
The event takes place in the Faculty of Education at the Ormskirk Campus from 5pm-8pm. If you have any questions beforehand, please contact Julie Bostock on 01695 650986 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
