The Arts Centre

The Puppet Lab presents Lost Sock Princess at the Rose Theatre.

Tickets £4.50 / £16.00 family ticket (3 children & 1 adult or 2 children & 2 adults).

  • Who wants to be different?
  • Wear odd clothes?
  • Have a pet sock?
  • Wear a red crown…?
  • Meet the Lost Sock Princess!

Aimed at children aged 3-7 years, this tale gently explores issues of identity and belonging, encouraging self-confidence and an understanding of why different is good. Children will be enthralled as the Lost Sock Princess and her friends, Sporty, Brainy, Smelly, Pop and Baby, conjure up magical worlds where solitary socks go on amazing adventures to be reunited with their partners, or become something different – a hat, a rocket, even a sock puppet!

An innovative combination of skilful puppetry and improvised comedy, the play draws its young audience in making them part of the show – the fantasy worlds of the lost socks are created from their imaginations during the performance based on audience suggestions.

An Extra Bit of Fun at 2.00pm … If you own a clean old sock that is lost in the world, why not bring it along for a short pre-show puppet making workshop with The Puppet Lab Cast.

The Puppet Lab has established itself as a company that produces high quality, professional theatre that is both educational and entertaining. We have a reputation for creating fantastic puppet shows and our performances consistently sell out.
