Social and Psychological Sciences

‘Lessons from the Past’ is a school-based, Heritage Lottery funded, oral history project based at Lostock Hall High School in Preston. 14-16 year old pupils at the school are constructing an online oral history archive focused around women’s history in Preston.

This symposium on Friday 6th May at Edge Hill University’s Ormskirk Campus showcases the ‘Lessons from the Past’ archive, with teachers, pupils and interviewees sharing their experiences and explaining what the project has revealed about women’s history in Preston. The symposium also provides an opportunity to reflect on the value of projects of this nature for both pupils and communities.

If you would like to attend this event, please email foebookings@edgehill.ac.uk to book your place. The symposium takes place in Room SPS101 in the Department for Social and Psychological Sciences.
