“Blake and Pity”

Forming part of the Edge Hill Romanticism Forum, a series of lectures are taking place in March and April 2011.

The lectures will be of interest to those with interests in Gothic and Romantic literature and are presented by invited speakers from universities across the UK who are international experts in their field.

Papers will cover a range of subjects, including “Derrida, Deconstruction and Shelley’s Compelling Rhymes”, “Romantic Religions”, “Frankenstein’s Old Familiar Faces” and “Confessions of a Byronic Hero”.

The lecture on Wednesday 9th March 2011 is titled “Blake and Pity” and is presented by Dr David Punter from the University of Bristol.

The event takes place from 5pm-7pm in Room B106 in the Business and Law building at Edge Hill University’s Ormskirk Campus.
