Precious (Lee Daniels, 2009) will be screened on Wednesday 23rd March at 7:30pm in the Studio Theatre.

Clareece ‘Precious’ Jones is an overweight, illiterate African-American teen in Harlem.  Just as she’s about to give birth to her second child, Jones is accepted into an alternative school where a teacher helps her find a new path in her life.  Starring Gabourey Sidibe, Mo’Nique and Mariah Carey.

Nominated for six Academy Awards, winner of two, including Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role – Mo’Nique.

Based on the novel Push by Sapphire.
