Julie & Julia (Nora Ephron, 2009) will be screened on Thursday 29th April 2010 in the Studio Theatre. The film is a 12A certificate.
Based on respective memoirs, Julia Child (Meryl Streep) and Julie Powell (Amy Adams) find their lives intertwined. Frustrated secretary, Julie, tries to shake up her life as she blogs her attempt to cook all 524 recipes from Julia’s cookery book Mastering the Art of French Cooking, during the course of one year. Though separated by time and space, both women are at loose ends… until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible. Bon appétit!
