The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (Terry Gilliam, 2009) will be screened on Thursday 15th April 2010 at 7:30pm in the Studio Theatre. The film is a 12 certificate.
Terry Gilliam brings his trademark visual panache to this wonderful fantasy-adventure, which features the final performance of the late Heath Ledger. It tells the story of Dr Parnassus and his extraordinary ‘Imaginarium’, a travelling show where members of the audience get an irresistible opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom. With Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell assuming Ledger’s mantle, Parnassus is a welcome return to form for Gilliam. Not to be missed.
