Jenn Ashworth

3rd Mar 2010 - 7:30pm

The Arts Centre

Tickets £3.50 all.

Jenn Ashworth’s dangerously comic first novel, A Kind of Intimacy, tells the story of Annie – morbidly obese, sexually obsessed and living down your street. It was shortlisted for the Guardian’s ‘Not the Booker Prize’ and Jenn was also named as one of Waterstone’s New Voices for 2009. She works as a prison librarian, is a prize-winning blogger and is closely involved with the Preston Writing Network, hosting live events in the region. At tonight’s event, she will give us a preview of her second book, Cold Light.

The evening is hosted by the Creative Writing programme team at Edge Hill University. If you would like to know more about our courses, please contact the Enquiries Unit on 0800 195 5063 or visit www.edgehill.ac.uk/english/courses/creativewriting.
