Whistle Down The Wind

30th Apr 2009 - 7:30pm

Studio Theatre

Throughout the year, the Studio Theatre in Edge Hill University’s Centre for the Performing Arts will screen a diverse body of carefully selected films at a highly affordable price.

Whistle Down The Wind (Bryan Forbes, 1961) will be screened on Thursday 30th April 2009. The film is a U certificate.

When an escaped criminal seeks refuge in a barn, the children who discover him believe him to be Jesus Christ.  This nostalgic British film is redolent of a more innocent age – and is a charming portrait of childhood in rural Lancashire. Featuring Alan Bates and Hayley Mills.
