Jock and the Amazing Technicolour Beansprout

A Family Pantomine in aid of Ormskirk and Maghull Lions

Tickets £8 / £6 concessions. £22 family ticket.

In a part of Ormskirk that is very like Scotland, Dame Trott runs her nursery, Trott’s Tots, in a house faintly reminiscent of a Giant’s boot. She has so many children, she hardly knows what to do – although only two of them, Simple Simon and the dreamer Jock, are her own.

But Dame Trott’s livelihood is in jeopardy, for the town is being terrorised by a Giant who loves gold. In order to mine as much of the gold as possible from his mines, the Giant has enlisted the help of the evil Mr. Crow, head of the recycling department, who is ‘recycling’ the children of Ormskirk with the help of his henchmen, Buster and Garfunkel. No-one is really sure why the children are mysteriously disappearing – they are being forced to work in the Giant’s mines!

The Mayor of Ormskirk suspects that something is afoot and so sets out with his daughter Molly – in disguise – to try and solve the mystery. But when he turns out to be too well known, Molly is left to solve the mystery on her own. She meets Jock and with the help of three trainee Fairies from Edge Hill University – B.A., M.A. and N.V.Q. they seek to unravel the mystery and rescue the children, and Jock’s prize cow Daisy from the Giant’s kingdom… with the help of some good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll, a pack of magic love hearts and – of course, an amazing technicolour beansprout…
