Edge Hill University presents the second year of Early Years Evening Seminars, introducing the theme of ‘playfulness’. These seminars aim to draw on research to inspire and challenge practice through reflection.
The first in the series will incorporate a presentation ceremony for students recently gaining Early Years Professional Status and is entitled ‘Being a Playful Practitioner’.
The seminar looks at what it means to be a playful teacher and practitioner and will pose three challenges:
- Being genuinely interested in young children as individuals;
- Being a person young children want to be with;
- Being playful in your provision.
The seminar will be led by Jo Albin-Clark, Senior Lecturer in Early Years at Edge Hill University, in lecture theatre E1 in the Faculty of Education.
Refreshments will be served from 6pm.
To reserve your place, please contact Jan Jackson on 01695 650806 or email Jacksonj@edgehill.ac.uk. There is no charge for this event but if you reserve a place and cannot attend we would be grateful if you could let us know.
