Ken Edwards was born in Gibraltar in 1950, and now lives in Hastings.  Since 1993, he has run Reality Street Editions, which was formed through the amalgamation of his own Reality Street magazine.

His publications include eight + six (Reality Street), Good Science (Roof Books, New York). Bird Migration in the 20th Century (Spectacular Diseases, Peterborough) and a first novel Futures (Reality Street) His prose book Nostalgia for Lost Cities was a book of the year choice for The Observer.

Performances of his music include the opera To the Edge (co-written with four others), premiered at the Steiner Theatre, London in 2004, and Ornettology, for string quartet.
