A deeply moving story of the Little Sparrow, Edith Piaf. Her mother is an alcoholic street singer, her father a circus performer and her grandmother a madam. As a 20 year old street singer she is discovered by a club owner who is soon murdered. The tragedies of a love affair and the death of her only child belie the words of one of her signature songs, “Non, je ne regrette rien.”

Marion Cottilard won a Bafta and an Oscar for best actress as Edith Piaf.
