The conference aims to reflect the reality of midwifery today and considers how the maternity services are able to meet new challenges. Achieving and maintaining autonomy of practice within this environment will be explored. The perspective of a service user will provide insight into the need for change.

The conference will be of interest to midwifery students, midwives or anyone who is concerned about the changes and challenges that face the midwifery profession today.

The key themes of the conference will be:

The programme of the day is as follows:
